On October 8-9, 2024, the Family Care Association, in collaboration with Hanoon Foundation, carried out a vital initiative to provide bread for displaced families in Khan Younis. This project aimed to address the critical shortage of bread due to bakery closures amidst the ongoing crisis.
The project ensured the distribution of fresh bread to 400 families residing in:
- Al-Aqsa Camp
- Al-Hayat Camp
- Various informal settlements
With a grant of $1,992 USD from Hanoon Foundation, the project also focused on empowering local women by engaging them in the bread-making process through the construction of 20 clay ovens.
This initiative highlights the power of community-driven solutions during crises, ensuring basic needs are met while fostering resilience and hope.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hanoon Foundation and all contributors for making this impactful project possible.
